Resistance groups launched work following Islamic Revolution
A senior Palestinian scholar and spokesman of the Lebanese-based Association of Palestinian Alims says the regional anti-occupation resistance groups are indebted their existence to the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran.
Mohammad Saleh al-Mo’ed was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) in the Iranian shrine city of Qom a few days ahead of the 37th anniversary of the revolution’s victory.
The Palestinian scholar considered as critical the role of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini in re-fielding the Palestinian issue in the international politics.
Asked about such pseudo-Muslim terror groups as the ISIL, the scholar said the terror groups are in a bond with Israel against the Muslim community and conspire against the Palestinian issue.
Al-Mo’ed said the ISIL originally sought to destroy the regional resistance groups but to no avail.
