Iran's Islamic Revolution met original goals
A leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in the besieged Gaza says the Islamic Revolution of Iran was a successful revolution in that it could set up a new government based on Islam.
Khedr Adnan was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) a few days ahead of the 37th anniversary of the victory of the revolution.
Recently from Israeli captivity following a prolonged hunger strike, Adnan noted that no other Arab or Muslim nations could materialize the original goals of its revolution in the recent history.
In the meantime, the Islamic Jihad leader commemorated the memory of the assassinated leader of the Palestinian movement, Fathi Shaqaqi, saying the late leader always encouraged the Palestinian nation to model the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
As for the ongoing anti-occupation Palestinian intifada, Adnan said Israelis have failed to stop the struggle despite exhausting all their efforts.
