Palestinian issue, essence of Imam Khomeini's foreign policy
Former Iranian defense minister, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi says the Palestinian issue formed the focal point of the foreign policy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini.
The defense minister was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) a few days ahead of the 27th demise anniversary of the late personality.
“Our positions in the Palestinian issue actually forms the essence of the Iranian foreign policy,” he said.
The military authority said Palestine serves as the unifying center for the Muslim community and that it has helped differentiate between the enemies and friends of the community.
Touching on the spread of terror groups in the region and their link to Israel, the former defense minister said Zionists seek to protect their security through the terror groups.
