Paris conference, an effort to resuscitate compromise

Palestinian website, al-Menar says the Paris conference and the Egyptian president's recent positions on the Palestinian issue were actually aimed at resuscitating the trend of compromise among the Palestinians.

The website slammed the conference as offering nothing to the Palestinian side, only demanding it to resume the so-called 'peace talk' without any pre-conditions.

It even failed to issue any call over the illegal Israeli settlements.

Al-Menar called the conference a full defeat and hopelessness for the Palestinian Authority "that made a fuss over its possible fruits for the Palestinians."

The failure was even reflected in PA foreign minister, Riyadh al-Maleki who blamed the 'big players' for a drop in the PA demands.
