Would Israel start a new war on Gaza?

Qodsna; Sirous Shirzad:

The Gaza Strip has endured continued selling from Israel for the past few days with Israeli artillery and fighters having targetted over 50 locations in the besieged area giving rise to speculations about the possibility of a new Israeli war against the enclave that is under siege for over a decade.

Some analysts note that the shelling have come in the wake of the appointment of new minister of military affairs, Avigdor Lieberman, arguing that the newly-appointed may show off his power or test his ability to change the equations on the ground by launching a new war on Gaza.

Internal circles in Israel however debate the repercussions of any new adventure citing the previous military experiences that ended up in failures for Israel.

The Zionist regime in Tel Aviv faces threat both from the Palestinian youths and its own internal circles. Internal rifts are growing in Israel with former chiefs of staff general Gabi Ashkenazi arguing that the largest problem facing Israel are its own internal rifts that have even turned worse following a general election that reinstated Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister.

Strikes have already hit the regime’s diplomatic and healthcare sectors and most Israelis, according to latest poll, say they have no trust in the sitting government. Israelis also complain about lack of security while some Israeli thinkers admit the prospect of Israel is gloomy unlike the government’s strenuous efforts to absorb more and more Zionist-minded Jews to the occupied Palestine.

Israel also faces a growing isolation in the international community amid its widening atrocities against the Palestinian people. A growing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement is an example that has already inflicted over 31 billion dollars in damages on Israel according to Israel’s own data. BDS has also proved detrimental to an Israeli drive to normalize ties with certain Arab states.

The whole failures come amid a growing force of resistance against Israel in the region that has already proved its might in repelling the scourge of the ISIS terror groups and similar groups in Iraq and Syria.

The developments on the ground made it an unlikely speculation that Israel would embark on another adventure on the besieged enclave, even in the form a limited offensive.
