Israel ties would push Arab rulers to precipice

An Iranian researcher in Palestinian affairs says the regional Arab monarchies are in fear about the Islamic Republic’s call for justice and combat against the global imperialism and thus seek Israel ties in a bid to contain the fear.

Mohammad Taqi Taqipour was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) on phone answering a question on the Arab states’ recent normalization with Israel.

“The call has woken up Muslims and endangered their thrones,” he said.

The researcher said the monarchies have already built ties with Israel and now only make them public.

Taqipour added however that the regional monarchies face a fate similar to that of the Iranian despotic, ousted ruler, Shah.

“Shah had tied his fate and rule to big powers and Israel. He had no fear of making the ties public,” he said, adding Arab rulers would rather take lesson from his fate.
