Change of US presidents would not affect US stance towards Israel

A senior Iranian diplomat says change in US presidents would not deliver tangible change in the US foreign policy.

Director General of the Foreign Ministry in Middle East and North Africa, Mohammad Irani was speaking to the Qods News Agency (Qodsna), answering a question on the election of Donald Trump.

Irani said the US stance towards Israel is so definite and strategic so that the change of presidents would not affect the stance.

Irani said Israel serves as an alternative to the direct presence of the US in the region and for the same reason, the US government would strive to boost the position of Israel.
