Zionists torch West Bank mosque (in Photos)

Zionist settler torched a mosque in the north of the occupied West Bank before dawn on Tuesday.

The mosque, located in Lubban ash-Sharqiya some 10 kilometres (six miles) south of Nablus, was largely destroyed in the attack.

Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas blamed hardline Jewish settlers for a fire that gutted a West Bank mosque, saying it threatened US-brokered efforts to revive the stalled peace process. Israeli officials said earlier they were working with Palestinian investigators to establish the cause of the fire, suggesting it could have been set off by a short circuit.
