Palestinian captives not allowed to hear adhan

Palestinian inmates in solitary confinement are not allowed to hear adhan (call to prayers) and for the past 30 years, they have practiced their rites and prayers without knowing the religious times.

The tragic suffering was revealed during a drama which recounted the problems facing the captives languishing in solitary confinement in Israeli prisons.

The Palestinian troupe which played the drama portrayed part of the sufferings endured by the inmates. The drama was sponsored by Mahaja al-Quds institute, affiliated to Islamic Jihad.

Several former captives, attending the occasion, made remarks to the audience in which they confirmed the tragic conditions facing the inmates and said they used to guess the religious times before practicing their prayers or other Islamic rites.
