Imam Khomeini brought Qods issue to international arena

 An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs said that the Qods issue received momentum in international diplomacy after Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of the holy fasting month of Ramadan as World Qods Day.

 Asadollah Athari told Qodsna said that the landmark move by Imam Khomeini gave an international side to the issue so that several resolutions were issued to support the problem.

"World people voice support to the Palestinian cause every year by taking to streets on the day," he added.
