IRI lawmaker: Quds Day, the day of solidarity with Palestinian nation

An IRI lawmaker told Qodsna that by designation of the world Quds day, Imam Khomeini called the international public opinion to confront Zionist regime.

Ex-rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign policy commission said by reviewing the Palestinian history, one would see three separate periods. "The fist was the ruling of Arab governments and the second was the independence of the Palestinian groups," Jalali said.

"The third era came after "Camp David" deal when the Islamic Republic emerged and the Arab governments refused to struggle with the Israeli regime," he said.

"At time when Arab governments moved to recognize the regime, Imam Khomeini announced the World Quds Day and put the world people alongside each other regarding the issue," he added.

"If there was not Imam Khomeini's initiative, many Arab governments would transcend each other in recognizing the Zionist regime," Jalali added.
