Syrian Expert: Qods day can unite Muslims, Christians against occupation

A Syrian political expert said the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan could help all Muslims, Christians and other people in the world get united in support of Palestine and opposition against the Israeli occupation.

Professor George Jabbour, also member of Syrian parliament told Qodsna that Imam Khomeini by designating the last Friday of Ramadan as World Qods Day brought unity and reminded people to confront with Israeli occupiers.

Imam Khomeini was a model activist who strived for peace and freedom, he said.

He said that Imam Khomeini played a key role in world history especially in Syria.

The Syrian professor also urged for studying Imam Khomeini's life and characteristic in universities.
