Hamas spokesman: Gaza blockades helped reinforce Palestinian nation
Spokesman of the Gaza-based Palestinian government, Hamas announced his movement's agreement for the formation of a Palestinian state within 1967 borders adding however that any such agreements did not mean to recognize the Israeli regime.
Speaking to Qodsna correspondent in Beit Lahm, Moshir Al- Masri confirmed the comments of a French diplomat about the agreement of Hamas for the establishment of a state within 1967 borders.
Pointing to the efforts of Egypt to broker a truce between Hamas and Zionist regime, Al Masri said "we are waiting to hear the Israeli side's answer for truce through our Egyptian brothers but the lull would not be achieved for. The Israeli regime must stop its aggressions and lift Gaza blockade."
"We will never beg any lull with Israel," he asserted, adding "our efforts are in favor of the Palestinian nation's interests."
Asked what would happen if the Israeli regime opposed to accept a truce, Hamas spokesman said "invasion of Gaza is probable but we are ready for any war."
"The Israeli threats are not new and we are not scared about such threats," he said.
"Zionist enemy will never achieve its goals."
"Even though the situation of Gaza is very dangerous and deplorable, today the residents of Gaza are more affirmative about unity and resistance," he added.
