Expert: Durban II, an opportunity to present world public opinion

An Iranian expert in political and international affairs told Qodsna that conferences like 2009 World Conference against Racism in Geneva can be effective in terms of political and social concenrs.

Mahdi Motahar-Niya said however that due to pressures of US and Zionist lobby, such conferences lack any practical guarantee.

Pointing to the fact that the position of NGOs and civil societies have progressed day by day, the expert said in future, th nations will grow more aware about the policies of their governments.

He also said that now the era of tyranny and bullying powers especially U.S. was over and they will finally be forced to change their attitude.

Durban Review Conference is scheduled to be held in April 20-24 in Geneva, Switzerland.
