Tanzanian professor – Islamic Revolution specials 23
Professor Liyakat Takim who teaches in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Denver said Iranian revolution has positive role on Muslims countries in different parts of the world and that it caused Islamic conscious and awareness among the world.
"Islamic revolution of Iran not only belongs to Muslims but also belongs to all non-Muslims," he told Qodsna.
"Former Iranian regime of 'Shah' was one of the supporters of Israel in Middle East and always followed U.S-Israeli policies, so as Iranian people who were under oppression rose up led by Imam Khomeini to stage a revolution in order to uproot oppressions and bring justice in the region," Takim added.
Asked about the effect of IRI revolution on the region, he said "not only Shiis but all Muslims all over the world were inspired by Iran's revolution".
"Muslims in my country in Tanzania, now, by modeling Iran's revolution, are studying Islamic principals especially Hijab," he added.
