Zarei: Concession to national unity government is concession to Hamas

Concession to formation of national unity government by Fatah, Arab states and western countries is equal to their concession to Hamas government, an Iranian expert in international affairs said.

Saadollah Zarei told Qodsna that national unity government could not go indifferent about the choice and vote of Palestinians which mostly favors the Hamas movement.

"By accepting national unity government they have actually accepted Hamas. This is while during the past years, they even refused to recognize Hamas as a Palestinian side," Zarei noted.

"The formation of the unity government is a definite winning card for Hamas. It is also a great accomplishment for the Palestinians," he added.

He rejected the idea that the Cairo talk was imposed on Haniya or that it empowered Mahmoud Abbas.

The expert then noted that Hamas approval of Egypt as brokering side was mandatory for geographical concerns.
