Rooyvaran: Quds day, day of return to Islamic teachings
An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs called the Quds day the start of return of Muslim world to Palestinian issue.
Speaking to Qodsna, Hussein Rooyvaran said the designation of Quds day by Imam Khomeini (30 years ago) proved effective in the Palestinian issue amid the failure of military methods.
He said Imam Khomeini with his people-based model of resistance which was based on Islamic teachings, could produce many positive developments in the Palestinian arena and that the positive situation currently occurring in the Palestinian arena is a natural result of return to Islamic concepts.
Asked why Iran supports Palestine and other innocent nations despite the heavy cost of such a support, Rooyvaran said that the Islamic Republic seeks the issue in the framework of the theory of Islamic Ummah with the aim of relations with Islamic communities.
In another regard, Rooyvaran said that the success of Jihadi groups in defeating a major world military in Palestine has been a large development and lead to the creation of an asymmetrical model of resistance in the region.
The defeat of Israel would lead to a change of nature in the role of the regime, Rooyvaran said, adding that the experience of defeating a major military by Hsamas and Hezbollah was a sequel to the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
