Abedini: Imam Khomeini's support to Palestinian issue led to regional movements

A senior IRIB news director said Imam Khomeini's support to Palestinian issue led to regional movements.

Hassan Abedini said following the emergence of Islamic Republic and Imam Khomeini's support to the Palestinian issue, Islamic resistance thrived in the Palestinian land.

He said despite western media campaigns to present Iran's support to Palestinians as material aid, the country has exported its revolutionary thoughts to the area which have led to creation of indigenous resistance in the occupied country.

He said the thriving of resistance was a fruit of orientation to revolutionary Islam, adding that the recent wars in Lebanon and Gaza would attest to the fact that resistance is powerful enough to change regional equations.

He then touched on the impact of media on resistance trends in the region, saying that the launching of al-Minar TV and Sot-o Nour TV proved an effective propaganda tool in this regard.
