IRI to surprise world if attacked by Israel
Pointing to recent threats by the Israeli regime to launch military attack on Iran, Professor Abdul Sattar Qasem told Qodsna correspondent in Gaza that if Israel fulfill its threats, Iran will surprise all the world with its sneak attack.
"The outbreak of war is likely in the region but nobody knows that where it would occur," he predicted.
"It may be against Iran, Syria or Hezbollah," professor added.
"If Israel was informed about the number and kind of weapons that Iran and Hezbollah possess, it would have attacked them years ago," Professor of AL Najah's Political Sciences University said, adding neither the Israeli regime nor America knew the extent of military capability of Iran or Hezbollah.
Shaul Mofaz, an Israeli deputy prime minister and minister of transportation, on Friday claimed that an attack on Iran might be 'unavoidable' if the country continued its uranium enrichment program.
The Professor described Mofaz' threats as propaganda for upcoming elections in the occupied territories.
Referring to late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini's attitude about Palestine, Professor Qassem said "undoubtedly Iran and Imam Khomeini gave considerable support to Palestinians."
"Imam Khomeini put Palestinian issue as priority."
"From Imam's point of view, the Palestinian issue refers to faith and Islamic beliefs," Qassem said.
"The future of Israel is under question due to military and technological advances of Iran," the Professor noted.
