Toben lauds Imam Khomeini's role in Palestinian issue

Fredrick Töben, a prominent Australian intellectual, appreciated Iran for its role in the Palestinian issue, adding that the Islamic Republic has done more to highlight the Palestinian plight than most of its neighbors in the Middle East.

Toben also praised Hamas and Hezbollah for "doing the ground work of building up Palestinian communities, while the western democracies support Israel and its never-ending settlement expansion at the expense of Palestinians."

In an email interview with Qudsna, Toben believed that the IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's call to review the Holocaust helped show "how vital the ‘Holocaust’ is to Israel’s existence."

"Today the world is saturated with multi- dimensional Holocaust material that has as its ultimate message: help Israel to survive and let’s build a Greater Israel – and let’s cleanse the land of Palestinian people who have no right to their homeland," he regretted.

Toben lauded Imam Khomeini's foresight in raising the Palestinian issue early in his political campaign at time when the world was in neglect about the issue. "It is little wonder, then, that the late Imam Khomeini so clearly saw how important it is to settle the Palestinian problem because it is distorting our understanding of world events," he wrote. Toben was also thankful about the role of the Iranian people in the Palestinian issue.

Toben at the end warned about the Zionist views towards Christian people and said the Zionist ideas must be taken as a threat by all Christians worldwide. Talmud's "hatred for Christians is never raised in Christian societies where Christian Zionists continue to be influential in churches around the world," he said.
