SDPN urges formation of new pro-Aqsa committee

SDPN Secretary General offered formation of a new committee to defend the al-Aqsa mosque

Secretary General of Iran-based Society in Defense of the Palestinian Nation called on Islamic countries to form a committee to fend off the Zionist regime's aggressions against the al-Aqsa mosque.

Mojtaba Rahmandoust told Qodsna that the Islamic countries were wrong in keeping silence over the recent developments.

"While the Zionists seriously pursue Nile-to-Euphrates motto and seek to destroy al-Aqsa Mosque before making Quds as capital of a Jewish state, the Islamic countries consider the issue as a joke and perceive they could stop the regime through negotiations," Rahmandoust deplored.

Rahmandoust also slammed the Organization of Islamic Conference, saying that the OIC has forgotten its goal. The OIC was fundamentally established in 1969 to defend the al-Aqsa mosque and the Quds city.

"Islamic countries must then take a new track and form a new committee to put a stop on Zionists," he urged.

The SDPN official urged the IRI government to adopt a firm stance in this regard and defend the cause of holy Quds like past.

Rahmadnoust then pointed to PA acceptance of a delay in the approval of a UN report on the Israeli carnage in Gaza and called it as disgraceful.
