PLO delegate blames US for settlement expansion

Representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) to the US Maen Areikat  held the Zionist regime and the US responsible for the failure of ‘peace’ talks, adding ‘US is accountable for the audacity and intransigence of the Zionist regime in the region.’

Unlimited US assistance to the Zionist regime is one of the main causes behind the Israeli insistence for continuation of settlement construction, he added.

‘Israel stubbornly continues its settlement buildings in Al-Quds’, the PLO official noted.  

Pointing out that the Israeli regime is not serious in peace talks, he added that Israel continues settlement construction in a bid to fail the peace negotiations.

He also termed US as Israeli accomplice, urging the international organizations including UN, UNSC and the General Assembly to help Palestinian nation.

“Palestinians will continue their struggle until the formation of an independent Palestinian state with Quds as its capital,” Areikat added.
