Syrian military expert: Iranians always support their government
Retired Syrian colonel Borhan Ebrahim Karim told Qodsna that the history shows the Iranian people would support their government under any conditions.
He said that any possible US attack on Iran would cast the whole region into a dangerous situation whose end is not within sight.
"Declarations and the ensuing denials of military threats against the regional countries is part of US and Israel's policy. Nevertheless, the Iranian nation and government have provided a due and fitted response," Karim added.
"The Iranian nation has already proved it supports the government under any conditions," the once colonel said.
"The enemy seems to have forgotten that it will face 70 million combatants if it attacks Iran," Karim said, adding that God Has always assisted the nation. He elaborated by pointing to the bungled US attack against Iran in 1980 to free its hostages but their fighters were stopped behind a wall of sandstorm in Loot desert central Iran.
