Director of Beirut's center of Regional Studies: America and Israel aims to prevent IRI from turning into a regional power

 Adnan Borji, Director of Beirut's center of Regional Studies said America and Israel only seek to prevent Iran from becoming a regional power by their drive against the Iranian nuclear program.

Interviewed by Qodsna, Borji noted that America keeps military presence in Afghanistan and Iraq and has no sufficient ability to stage a ground-air attack against any country, adding that the country was in no position to attack Iran.

"Moreover, the aerial bombing in the 2006 Israel war against Lebanon proved that even if proving destructive for infrastructure of country, such bombardments could not bring victory to the attacking agent," he added.

The expert believed it was a disadvantage for the Zionist regime not to have any common border with Iran which "prompts to the regime to rely on aerial bombing against Iran."

The expert noted that America and Israel's adventurism will not bode well for the two and would bring numerous repercussions for the whole world.
