We gathered here to consider the problems that the members of NAM are facing it and find a suitable way to solve it, Egyptian ambassador to United Nations Majed Abdul Fattah Abdul Aziz told Qodsna correspondent in sideline of 15th Non-aligned Movement (NAM) foreign ministerial meeting which held on last week in Tehran.
We have to intensify the roll that NAM play negotiating process between Palestinian and Israelis.
He described Palestinian issue as the most important one that needed to be discussed in every conference.
Egyptian envoy urged the NAM to introduce especial envoy for Palestine and try for solving their problems as well as halting Israeli illegal activities.
Responding to Qodsna question about NAM efforts for stopping Zionist regime's nuclear activities, he said "we have to continue our effort through IAEA and UN in order to achieve objective of nuclear weapon free zone in Middle East."
"It (nuclear weapon free zone in Middle East) was an Iranian-Egyptian proposal in 1973, Abdul Aziz added.
"We had an agreement in 1995 to revive a conference of the NPT on the resolution in the Middle East on requesting members of the NPT to put pressure on Israel to enforce it halt its arsenal activities and be a member of NPT."
