Tunisian personality ties ME uprisings to Palestinian issue
Kamal bin Yunis, director of the Tunisian Center on International Researches was speaking to Qudsna Wednesday.
He noted the content of slogans chanted during the marches and demonstrations in the said countries to further substantiate his arguments. "They were carrying Palestinian flags and were chanting 'free Palestine and Quds,' and slogans about opposition to expansion of Jewish settlements across the occupied lands of Palestine," he said, adding that the kind of slogans were chanted until the previous dictator, Bin Ali fled the country.
Asked about the influence of the Middle East revolution on the Palestinian issue, the senior Tunisian journalist said the nations pursue freedom of Quds and Palestine, adding that an immediate fruit of the popular wish would be abrogation of Camp David treaty.
Bin Yunis said the Egyptian nation would no longer allow the Zionist regime to plunder their natural gas reserves.
In another regard, Bin Yuni likened the regional revolutions to the Islamic Revolution of Iran, notably for their popular roots rather than political parties.
Asked about future of Egyptian developments, the Tunisian personality said the Egyptian people would no longer allow the Zionist regime to turn Cairo into a center for conspiracy against the Palestinian nation.
