ME expert calls regional uprisings as prelude to Palestinian liberation

A senior Iranian expert in Middle East affairs said the regional developments caused the power relation equation in the region to incorporate a third dimension, namely the people.

Muhammad Sadeq al-Husseini told Qudsna that the regional developments have changed the two sided dimension of colonialism-governments and made the people as a source of power.

He believed that the recent Tunisian developments have helped people to consolidate their position as a major player in the regional relations.
 
Husseini said several factors were behind the developments, including the inspiration of the Islamic Revolution of Iran as well as the robust defense of the resistance movements in Lebanon and Gaza.

The expert said as the developments unfold, the Palestinian people get more inspired to set up a solid front against the occupiers and that the more they keep track of struggle, the sooner the date of an ultimate, promised warfare against Israel.
 
Sadeq al-Husseini said the regional nations in their uprisings manifested the promise of the late Imam Khomeini that ‘Muslim can.’

He believed that Israel was at the moment at its weakest ever status and has lost the opportunity to take the initiative.
 
“Today, the ark of regional revolution has passed through storm and gets closer and closer to the shores,” he said.
