Aide to Syrian Mufti lauds Ayatollah Khamenei for his special attention to Palestine

Alludeen Zatari, aide to Syrian Mufti and chairman of Fitwa department highlighted the role of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei in promoting the Palestinian issue, adding that their full support to the Palestinian people helps issue a call to the world to come to aid of the defenseless nation.

Zatari who was speaking to Qudsna onj the eve of the 31st international Quds day said the Palestinian issue was a global problem.

“The sufferings of the nation are sufferings of all freedom seekers in the world,” he said, adding that the designation of the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as world Quds day was a further emphasis on the mainstream goal of the late imam in his struggles against despotism and hegemony.

Asked about the Palestinian right of return, he said the right was a basic human right. He then invoked Imam Khomeini’s call for the restoration of the Palestinian land to their true owners, the Palestinian people.
 
He said the Quds city has been a venue of peace in the past and would remain so despite the Zionist atrocities.
