Aziz Dweik welcomes IRI embassy idea
Dr. Aziz Dweik, chief of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) welcomed the idea of establishment of an Iranian embassy in Gaza, especially in light of the ongoing reconciliation process between the Hamas and Fatah movements.
There have been some ideas in the Iranian foreign policy chamber about establishment of an Iranian embassy in Gaza in the past several days.
The chief told Qudsna reporter in West Bank that the Palestinians welcome the idea and consider it as a brave diplomatic move.
He said how Palestinians afford to reject such a proposal as it has been offered by a county “which holds the same ideology as ours and have always supported us in the worst conditions against the Zionist regime.”
