PLC Chairman: Palestinians hoisted flag of dignity during war

Chairman of the Palestinian Legislative Council said the Palestinian nation in the 22-day Gaza war hoisted the flag of dignity and honor instead of the undignified white flag of subservience to the west.

Aziz Dweik was speaking to Qudsna on the 2nd anniversary the Palestinian successful resistance against the invading Israeli army in 2008-2009.

He said the Palestinian nation during the history acted so heroically that could not be described by any expression rather than the Koranic verse: God would not change the status of any nation until after they change their egos.

“The Palestinian nation abandoned atheism and non-religiosity and returned to the lap of Islam. The Palestinian resistance during the 22-day war was the best proof to the claim,” he elaborated.

Asked about the Palestinian resistance during the Gaza war, Dweik said the Palestinian responded positively to the call of God and changed their egos, waiting for God to change their status.

Asked about the outcomes of the 22-day war, Dweik said the resistance would be recorded in history and the world will see the victory of Palestine and the freedom of Quds “God Willing.”
