Embassy in Gaza, a logical necessity for Iran – ME expert
An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs believes there is a logical necessity for Iran to open an embassy in Gaza, adding that Iran must appoint an ambassador to Palestine.
Dr. Muhammad Sadeq al-Husseini touched on the regional developments and said the trend of developments have paved the ground for the establishment of such an embassy. He said however that the appointment must be made sooner.
The expert said that an appointment of ambassador to Gaza would facilitate diplomatic coordination with the democratically elected Palestinian government, led by Hamas.
He proposed the embassy expand its activities proportionate with whatever area of occupied lands is released from the claws of the Zionist regime.
