Iraqi vice president: Palestinian issue speaks in era of silence

Iraqi vice president Adel Abd al-Mahdi underlined the position of Palestinian issue in the regional developments and the current Islamic Awakening, saying that the key element of motivation in the regional developments is Islam and Palestine.

Abd al-Mahdi was speaking to Qudsna on the sidelines of the fifth general meeting of the World Assembly of Ahl ul-Beit in Tehran.

He noted however that there are some elements of economy or political matters in the current uprisings but the key element is motivated by Islam and Palestine.

“The Palestinian issue speaks in the era of silence and fights for its rightfulness,” he said.

He believed that despite all problems on the ground, the trend of developments was in favor of the regional nations.

THE Iraqi vice president affirmed the forecasts by Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of Islamic Revolution that a new Middle East based on Islam will take form free from the US hegemony and said Muslims have covered a large part of the track and are getting victory despite al their mistakes.
