Italian thinker: 1979 Islamic revolution revived the Palestinian issue

Chief of an Italian peace NGO believes that THE Islamic Revolution helped revive the Palestinian issue.

Professor Massimo De Santi, head of “education for peace” made the remarks in an interview with Quds News Agency.

Asked about the impact of the Iranian Islmaic Revolution on current Islamic Awakening in the region and the Palestinian issue, he said the revolution imbued the Palestinians with hope and revived the question of Palestine.

He said the advances of the Islamic Republic would be in favor of the regional nations and the Palestinians people.

Decanti warned about the future of the regional uprisings, saying that foreign interventions would prove harmful to the movements.

The Italian professor called the recent bid of Abu Mazen, the PA acting head for UN statehood a ceremonial step which could never restore the Palestinian rights, including the right of return of refugees.
