South African activist: Islamic Awakening surely leads to Palestine liberation

A South African activist believes that the ongoing Islamic awakening in the Middle East and North Africa will no doubt lead to liberation of Palestine from the claws of Zionist occupiers.

Warda Gertes, in Tehran for a major international conference on the role and function of young Muslim activists in the Islamic Awakening, was speaking to Quds News Agency (Qudsna) on the sidelines of the conference.

Also a journalist, Gertes said one could not say the Islamic Revolution of Iran has had no effect on the ongoing regional movement. “The role of Iran can be clearly witnessed,” he said, adding that God willing the current awakening would lead to Israeli destruction and liberation of Palestine from the claws of the occupiers.

Wearing a Palestinian kefiyesh, Warda called on Arab and Islamic countries to spare no effort in liberating the al-Quds and securing the freedom of the Palestinians.
 
She then pointed to the expression of ‘Quds belongs to Muslims’ sewn on her kefiyesh and hoped for the sooner liberation of al-Quds by Muslims.
