Abu Sharif: Palestinian uprising inspired by Ashura Movement
Naser Abu Sharif, representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad said Sunday that in Palestine, many youths have designated Imam Hussein as their model of struggle and have a willing for martyrdom and Jihad.
Speaking to Qudsna, the Palestinian personality said the household of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) has provided a major role model to world nations, the Palestinians in particular.
He said Palestinian children learn from the very childhood that Imam Ali is the Sword of God and that Imam Hussein, is the man of Jihad and martyrdom.
Abu Sharif reminded the goal of Imam Hussein in his uprising, namely to overhaul the Muslim lifestyle and drive the society to return to the genuine Islam. “Imam Hussein is and would remain forever as model for any revolutionary man,” he added.
The Palestinian nation is inspired by the belief that the blood of Imam Hussein overtook the sword of oppressors, the envoy of Islamic Jihad movement in Tehran said.
Abu Sharif noted a dormant affection inside the hearts of Palestinians for the household of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), saying that some Palestinians name their children Abu al-Hasan and Abu al-Hussein to show their affection for the Immaculate Household.
“Even there was someone called Abu Krbala (in an affective allusion to the place of martyrdom of Imam Hussein) who was murdered in 1997 by the Zionist regime,” he added.
Abu Sharif then made a parallel between the rulers of modern time Muslim countries and that of the era of Imam Hussein, adding that Yazid, as the then ruler was violating the Islamic merits and values as the present time Muslim rulers do. He urged for struggling against corrupt rulers of Muslim world and following the model of Imam Khomeini in his struggle the deposed Shah of Iran.
Abu Sharif believed that the Islamic Revolution of Iran has played a key role in reviving the Palestinian aspirations at time when Muslim nations were deprived of an Islamic government.
