New Palestinian Unity Government would never recognize ‘Israel’ – Deputy Palestinian speaker
Tayseer Qubaa, deputy Palestinian parliament speaker said a prospective national unity government would never recognize Israel.
Speaking to Qudsna Monday, he said a national reconciliation process underway between Fatah and Hamas was in the interest of Palestinian causes and aspirations.
He said Israel was seeking to torpedo the process however the parties would be successful in their effort.
Qubaa rejected media allegations that Hamas had renounced resistance against the Zionist regime and that a new unity government would recognize the Zionist regime.
Asked about the regional developments, the Palestinian official said the regional revolutions were in favor of Palestine and that what takes place in Egypt was against the Israeli interests.
Asked about the Syrian developments, Qubaa said the Syrian uprising was distinct from that of Egypt or Tunisia in that it is a ploy by the West against a pro-resistance entity.
