Expert: Time for direct IRI ties with Palestinians

An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs said it was a diplomatic must for Islamic Republic to establish ties with the Palestinian nation.
Dr. Maoud Assadollahi told Qudsna that the Egyptian developments would be conducive to Iran’s opening of an embassy in Gaza.
“Egypt nowadays is the gate of Palestine. We must follow the developments in the country albeit without any haste. We must allow the developments to go their natural route,” he said.
“We must promote our currently indirect relations with Palestinian groups and refugees to direct ones through the diplomatic office,” he said.
