IRI lawmaker urges for embassy in Gaza

An Iranian lawmaker welcomed the idea of Iran’s establishing of a diplomatic office in Gaza, especially in light of the IRI’s principle policy of support for the world oppressed.

Muhammad Karim Abedi told Qudsna that IRI has maintained support to the Palestinian people in the past three decades, especially during the Gaza dev elopements in the past five years.

He said the recent developments in the region have helped changed the conditions in favor of the Palestinians. “The developments bode well for the Palestinians. We must move fast to promote ties with the great Egyptian nation. This would open the way for more ties with the Palestinian people,” he said.

The lawmaker pointed to a declaration last year by the Iranian lawmakers to visit Gaza, adding that the lawmakers remain to be on the ready for such a visit in a bid to promote ties with the Palestinian nation.
