What Israel has earned from 61 years of occupation?
Sirous Shirzad: Sixty one years have passed form when Zionists occupied Palestine and create Zionist government and the regime marked its Independence Day last week.
During the sixty one years, Zionist crimes have continued to rise under the silence of international community. The regime in its latest crimes against Palestinian killed over 1350 people most of them civilians in a 22-day brutal war against Gaza.
The injustice and ongoing aggressions against Palestinians bother the soul of any free man however the western countries especially U.S. and its new government still continue their unilateral support to Zionist regime. The US President in a regular move congratulated the 61st anniversary of occupation of Palestine in a clear example of such unilateral support.
By holding celebrations to mark Israeli Independence Day, the regime tries to consolidate its fake and illegal entity. Zionists celebrate Independence Day in such conditions that Palestinians people are deprived of their minimum rights.
The regime's record in the past sixty years includes siege, massacre of oppressed people, violation of international laws, and human rights. There are several massacres: massacre of over 250 people in Deir Yassin, about 50 villagers of Kfar Kassem in 1948, massacre of Sabra and Shatila in 1982, Israeli aggressions in Qana, Lebanon in 1996 and 2006 and raids on neighbor countries including Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq.
The fact is that after sixty one years of occupation of Palestine, Zionist regime could not achieve its goals. The regime now faces insecurity, increasing discords between Zionist officials, anti-Israeli activities all over the world, incapability of stopping rocket fire, increase of resistance power, unpopularity of Israeli authorities, increase of reverse immigration and decrees of immigration, growing support to Palestinian nation at international level, establishment of ties between some European countries and legitimate Palestinian government, Hamas and growing indecency among Israeli youths.
