Western media are bisecting whole entity al-Quds

Qudsna: At the backdrop of a massive Israeli campaign for removal of Islamic identity of the al-Quds, otherwise referred to by western media as Jerusalem following the 1948 occupation, a new media campaign has been afoot to bisect the city o map so that the world accept a bisection of the city into two Muslim and Jewish parts against the very UN resolutions which assigns an international identity to the city.

When covering the developments in the city, notably the case of illegal settlement expansion, the Western media unanimously use the term of ‘East Jerusalem’ (al-Quds) instead of a UN-approved ‘east of Jerusalem’ (al-Quds), virtually regarding two separate sections in the city, one for Muslims and the other for Jews.

An immediate implication is that Muslims are no longer allowed to claim for Quds, as a whole entity, and rather the eastern part of the city too would increasingly become a Jewish claim due to several demographic changes. Zionist-sponsored mainstream western media have for long avoided use of ‘east Jerusalem’ in their news coverage in a bid to concentrate world attention on the developments in the other part of the city and, as a result, pushing the case of western part of the city from any negotiation tables forever.

The Zionists are also justifying their adversaries in the eastern section of Quds, including in al-Qasa mosque and the peripheries.

Am annexation of the eastern part of the city too is an apparent agenda under the presumption that ‘it is much easier to annex a bisected identity than a whole one.’

It is ironic that the misery of Palestinians as the case of al-Qud represents in part has been compounded by an indecision on part of the world of Islamic.
