Hale's empty luggage

Mehdi Shakibayi: Special US envoy, David Hale arrived in Ramallah in the West Bank to rekindle what America calls the peace process and is actually the process of a political compromise between the Zionist regime and the Palestinian Authority.

Hale has met with the Authority's head Mahmoud Abbas and was set to visit Egypt to brief the Egyptian President Muhammad Mursi on the talk as well as on the US President Barrack Obama's views concerning the issue.

Hale's visit is important in that it takes place one month after the promotion of Palestinian status in the United Nations from 'observer entity' to 'non-member observer state'. It also occurs two months after the amazing victory of the Palestinian resistance in overcoming the Israeli fire during the eight day war on Gaza.

The US in the past three decades has showed it never stops supporting those individuals who have a compromise-friendly mind because they run in favor of the security of the Zionist regime and the US interests in West Asia (Middle East).

The huge welcome offered by the west bank-residing Palestinian people to Hamas foundation anniversary ceremonies proved how they now have faith in the Palestinian resistance. The reality has naturally made the US and 'Israel' worried a lot. In fact, the West Bank is closer to Israel than Gaza and any Intifada in the area may bring many problems for the Zionist regime, adding to the problems it has already reaped from the Islamic Awakening movement in the region.

What David Hale has brought to the region in his luggage is nothing more than the 2000 Camp David 2 plan, the 2003 Roadmap and the 2007 Anapolis conference. The western authorities worried over the waves of Islamic awakening that is gradually affecting all countries in West Asia and North Africa are trying to block it from entering the Palestinian areas.

David Hale is assigned to push to resume peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel as a public relations game designed to save the Zionist regime.

A so-called peace conference is likely in sight that may later provide a roadmap for the next five years so that the Palestinians are entertained with its distraction. His luggage has already been open to the regional public; his predecessors too, including George Tenet, Collin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, and George Michel were going to carry out the project but to no avail.
