A review to Iran's Defense Minister Trip to Syria

As contributed by Qods News Agency (Qodsna) Brigadier Amir Hatami, Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Damascus on Monday accompanied by a delegation from the defense ministry officials. In the plans of Amir Hatami, who traveled to Syria due to an invitation by his Syrian counterpart Ali Ayyub. In this trip the Iranian defense minister had meetings with the Minister of Defense, the President and other officials of the Syrian state. The trip has many important aspects due to current situation in the region.

First, the Zionist regime and the United States have lately made efforts to persuade Syria to dismantle relationship with Iran or bring down the bilateral relations to a very low level. Even Saudi Arabia, has offered a shameful proposal to close relations with Iran in exchange to stop terrorist operations and help rebuild Syria! The Iranian Defense Minister's trip to Syria actually contains a decisive message to Israel, United States and Arab regimes that Iran and Syria not only have no plans to reduce relations, but also seek to expand the bilateral relations, and that the Iranian Allied forces to Syrian army will remain in the war torn country as long as necessary. 

Second, the latest developments in the war on terror in Syria were evaluated with the presence of Amir Hatami and his presence emphasized solid determination of the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue suppurting the Syrian army in the war against the terrorists supported by Israel, United States and Arab regimes.

Third, the Syrian army needs to be rebuilt and strengthened over the course of eight years of civil war in various dimensions. The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to assist in strengthening, equipping and repairing deficiencies and power generation to this resilient army. Meanwhile, the Syrian government has invited Tehran to rebuild its country, in coming days; the 60th Syria International Exhibition (2018) will be set up with significant participation of Iranian reconstruction companies. The Syrian government has freed nearly three-quarters of the Syrian geography from the occupation of the terrorists and has starting rebuilding the country, along with the continuation of military operations to clear the remaining sectors. 

Amir Hatami's trip took place in a very sensitive time, which also has an important message in this regard. The terrorists in Syria now have only Idlib as their last place to carry out terrorist attacts in this country. On the other hand, terrorists’ regional and international allies are also doubtful of supporting or not supporting these terrorist organizations. The destruction of the last of the terrorists means the beginning of a new phase in Syria that will not only change the developments in the region, but also affects international relations, especially international unions and alliances. This will be the key to the liberation of Idlib by the military and its allies. During the eight years of the imposed war on Syria, Iran has always been supporting the army, the Syrian government and people, Iran’s presence in latest operation will have a clear message for regional and international parties.
