A session titled as “Role of Poetry and Literature in Resistance” was convened today at Qodsna HQ

According to Qods News Agency (Qodsna) the meeting was held with the presence of Arab poets and literary figures in collaboration with the Society for the defense of Palestinian Nation were held this morning.

At this meeting, Syrian poet Badie Saqour, a member of the Arab Writers 'Union, Syrian poet and writer Samir Al-Maherdud and a member of the Arab Writers' Union, along with Ismail Taha, the Syrian writer, made their remarks.

At the beginning of this novice meeting Badie Saqour said: Syria continues to support the Palestinians and their rights.

He stressed: "Resistance is our culture, civilization, past, present and future, if we want to remain in our dignity we must resist the resistance."

Following to the session Samir Adnan said: “I am very happy to witness the glorious days of resistance with you our Iranian brothers.”

Referring to the fundamental position of poetry and literacy in resistance, he emphasized: “the success of a poet or a literary figure is maintained whenever he approaches and writes about the decisive issues of his nation. Of course, in the Syrian War, we have given hundreds of thousands of martyrs over the past seven and a half years, and every poet who wants to use this stereotype should take advantage of his feelings and to deliver the volume of pain and suffering that the Syrian people have suffered.

He stressed in the end: note that in the developments in Syria and Iraq, ISIS acted on the basis of a technique in which Israel used the same technique in the blasphemous crimes they acted on the point that kill one, Say you killed 10, 100 people would hear the news and 1000 people will escape.

At the end of the meeting, "Ismail Taha" emphasized the need for vigilance in media and intellectual literary efforts in the field of resistance and said: “We should never be influenced by western propaganda in their media that they claim that the United States has dominated all developments in the region. This phenomena stems from the acceptance of Western ideology, and in our resistance media platforms we must act in contrary to this western propaganda.

At the end of the meeting, the Syrian delegation also visited Qods News Agency and met the editorial staff.
