Lebanon and Israel talks
not related to normalization

Talal Atrisi

Chairman of Beirut strategic studies center: Talks held between Lebanon and Zionist regime over maritime border’s dispute and is not related to normalization of ties with Zionist regime.

Tehran- Qods News Agency (Qodsna): Talal Atrisi, Chairman of Beirut strategic studies center, in an exclusive interview with Qodsna correspondent reiterates “The talks between Zionist regime and Lebanon are the result of Washington's years-long efforts to delineate the disputed border between the two sides and is not Lebanon's willingness to engage in political talks”.

“Lebanon is different from the traitors to Palestine and the perpetrators of the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime”, he added.

As the benefits of this agreement, it can protect Lebanese lands from the risk of repeated aggressions of the Zionist regime and expand extraction from gas fields and oil wells, Atrisi added.

"Negotiations between the Lebanese and Zionist parties are not political negotiations or to establish cooperation between the parties. This round of talks is formed only with the aim of drawing and defining controversial border lines, and nothing else like normalizing relations", he noted.
