Biden, Harris are political enemies of Netanyahu

Speaking to Qods News Agency, Gordon Duff, a former U.S. military official, and military analyst talked about the origins of UN Resolution 3379 which ‘determines[d] that Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination’, saying It is necessary to take Resolution 3379 into its historical context.

“The second Arab-Israeli War was a recent memory and the US had lost whatever moral position it had due to Vietnam and the resignation of Richard Nixon.  We had a strong non-aligned movement that was able to leverage power due to the decades-long conflict between the East and West power blocks,” he said, adding that the incumbent Israeli cabinet was significantly “vulnerable internationally” which led to the Camp David Accords only 3 years later.

Duff then asserted that the key part of Resolution 3379 was “the interim agreement between Anwar Sadat and Yitzhak Rabin on Sinai signed only weeks before”.  He noted: “To be clear, the resolution passed not because it punished Israel but because it pressured Israel.”

He then stressed the influence of the Israeli lobby on the US soil and its policies, saying “Israel had years to build its base on the US, taking control of Washington through AIPAC and the media, to a significant extent, and building a covert political philosophy closely aligned with fascism under the guise of neo-conservatism.”

Talking about the recent US election result and Joe Biden as the winner of the election, the retired diplomat described Biden and his vice-president elected Kamala Harris as “political enemies of Netanyahu and the Likudists”.

“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have followed long-established US policies, abandoned by Trump, of protecting the integrity of the occupied regions of Palestine,” Gordon Duff added.

He then noted that “Biden was a lead player in pushing through JCPOA and should well be invested in not only reining in Israel policies but in restoring balance in the Persian Gulf as well.”

Calling the so-called ‘Deal of Century’ a “dead deal”, Gordon Duff underlined that “key will be Biden's role in facilitating the removal of Netanyahu from power.  Nothing is spoken of this but moving the US embassy to Jerusalem was a slap in the face not only for the Palestinian people but the American people as well. Biden's move, to redress that violation of international law, will be, when and if it occurs, a signal.”

“It is reasonable to expect Biden to erase, quickly as possible, every pronouncement by Donald Trump including every one that backed Zionist warmongering and the propagandizing of the American people”, he said.
