Qodsna (Tehran) -Speaking with Qods News Agency about the latest developments in the Middle East, particularly the potential reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Palestinian political affairs expert, Ashraf Al Ghaleez said that the region has faced an unprecedented dispute between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Arab and Islamic countries.

“Saudi Arabia is repeatedly bombing Yemen and escalates the situation, which is the direct order of the United States of America,” he stressed.

Talking about resistance movements in Palestine like Hamas and the Islamic Jihad as well as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Al Ghaleez noted that “these movements are in line with the causes of the Iranian revolution, and therefore they are ready to fight with regional colonialism. So it is natural that Washington put all of its efforts to contain them in Iraq and Syria.”

The Palestinian expert called the recent normalization deals with the Zionist regime “the last resort in fighting with resistance axis”, saying that the real affected country for these “shameful” deals.

He then described the dispute between Saudi Arabia and Qatar as “an old wound”. “Arab countries have to remain united to face the current complex situation.”

“Qatar has an important role in the region in terms of its political position over the past years, as the Persian Gulf country was effective in many cases, such as the peace process in Afghanistan or its financial aids to Palestinian resistance groups. Also, it has friendly relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
