Haniyeh: Hamas vows firm support for Al-Quds residents against Israeli violations

On the confrontations between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinians, Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh stated the following:

Hamas movement is deeply concerned about the Israeli violations in Al-Quds that caused fierce confrontations between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinians in Al-Quds.

The ongoing situation in Jerusalem (Al-Quds) emphasises that the holy city is an Arab and Islamic sacred site. The Palestinian residents of Al-Quds will not succumb to the Israeli occupation’s threats or its fascist policies.

Throughout history, Al-Quds has been the compass of the Palestinian freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. It has also been the core issue for the Palestinian people and for the Arab and Islamic Ummah.

We stress that the Palestinians will win the battle of defending Al-Quds, which is an integral part of the Palestinian land.

Hamas movement expresses its solidarity with and support for the Palestinian defenders and freedom fighters who stand steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation’s violations in the holy city.

We will not leave the Palestinian people alone in the battle against the Israeli occupation and will continue to defend Al Aqsa and the Islamic identity of Al-Quds.

On the other hand, we call on the Palestinian people in Al-Quds to stand steadfast and face off the Israeli attempts to judaise the holy city of Al-Quds at any price.
