Meshaal: Israeli plans in Al-Quds are doomed to failure

Hamas leader hailed the Palestinian defenders of Al Aqsa who have stood steadfast in the face of the brutal Zionist regime’s occupation.

Head of Hamas Foreign Political Bureau Khaled Meshaal stated on Sunday that Palestinian people are going through fierce battle against Israeli occupation, confirming that Israeli plans at the holy city are doomed to failure.

In an interview with Al Aqsa TV channel, Meshaal emphasised that the Palestinian people in Al-Quds will foil all Israeli plans in Al-Quds, as they had done in the past few years on many occasions.

“It is a big battle aimed at Judaising and controlling Jerusalem (Al-Quds) and a plan to divide Al Aqsa Mosque spatially and timely,” Meshaal referred to the latest surge of Israeli violations.

He also hailed the Palestinian defenders of Al Aqsa who have stood steadfast in the face of the brutal Zionist regime’s occupation.

Meanwhile, the senior Hamas official reiterated his movement’s determination to go for the Palestinian elections, stressing this step is part and parcel of the national endeavours to restructure the national Palestinian home and achieve unity.

As regards the possibility of postponing the elections, Meshaal noted that the Palestinian factions will remove all obstacles in the path of the elections and the vote will be held in its due date.

Meshaal also noted that the top priorities for his movement are healing the intra-Palestinian division, placing Al-Quds in the heart of the freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation, breaking the Israeli blockade on Gaza, freeing the Palestinian detainees in the Israeli jails and mobilising support for the Palestinian cause.
