Israel fearful of Iran's
growing power in region

Talal Atrisi
Speaking with Qods News Agency, the Director General of the Beirut Center for Strategic Studies Talal Atrisi said on Saturday that the Zionist regime is concerned about the powerful regional position of Iran.
“Israel is not capable of direct encounter with Iran by itself. Israeli outlets have covered a possible direct confrontation with Iran repeatedly, and all of them mutually addressed to the required US support in such a scenario,” Atrisi added.
The Lebanese expert also referred to the recent meetings between senior Zionist officials and their US counterparts in Washington, saying that “Israel always has been concerned about reviving Iran’s nuclear deal and the US re-join to the deal. The fear is obvious as Israeli security and military officials have traveled to the United States, struggling to change the US position.”
Atrisi went on to say that Zionists are worried that Iran is gaining more power in the region. “Israel believes that the nuclear deal with Iran gives the Islamic country more regional influence, and these developments lead to the recognition of Iran's nuclear rights in short-term or even bring Iranians some non-nuclear privileges.”
