Quds Day's goal was to shift power from
statehoods to hands of people on Palestinian issue

Qodsna (Tehran) - Speaking at a meeting in Tehran on Wednesday on“Liberation of Al-Quds is closer”, Middle East affair expert, Mahdi Shakibai said that the Palestinian issue and fighting against the Zionist regime is the only humanitarian crisis that has last long about a century since its beginning.
The meeting was organized by Varamin Council for Islamic propagation with the attendance of several pro-Palestinian figures and activists.
“World Wars and Cold War and many other wars and conflicts around the world ended, but the Palestinian issue remains intact,” he added.
Deputy Head of the Society for the Defence of Palestinian Nation also stressed that “the Zionist regime has been struggling with its deep domestic political crisis since two years ago, and its main reason is recent progress of the resistance axis in the region, especially major achievements of Iran and Hezbollah.”
“We are on the eve of 42nd anniversary of International Quds Day, and the way we have made through shows that the Islamic Revolution has a certain path and has never deviated from its origins,” he added.
He also noted that the intention of Imam Khomeini in designating Quds Day was to shift the power from states to the hands of people in Islamic countries regarding the Palestinian issue.
Shakibai then stressed that the awareness of societies about the Palestinian issue has now increased and “today, we witness protests and different movements and NGOs to support and defend the Palestinian nation.”
Calling the establishment of IRGC Quds Force “a necessity” to liberation Palestine, the senior pro-Palestinian figure added that “Imam saw the need for establishing an army to implement his thoughts about Palestine.”
He also stressed that Israel’s comments against IRGC Quds Forces have indicated their fear of resistance forces.
